Music Nights at Sky Garden

With lockdown restrictions in place, theatres shut and no live gigs, we were looking for something to do for a mid-week treat when we came across the music nights at Sky Garden!

Sky Garden is a great place to go for stunning views of the city (and photos for the 'gram) as it is free - yes you heard that right. You can visit one of the bars or eateries once you are there but there is no pressure if you just want to have a nose around and take some pictures.

However, if you want to enjoy some music, you can buy a ticket starting from £13 to one of the DJ nights, which take place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Your ticket includes a drink at Sky Pod in Sky Garden, where a DJ will be playing live, the lights are dimmed and there is a really chilled vibe.

You can choose between a £13 ticket which includes a cocktail, you don’t get to choose the cocktail as you will be given the ‘cocktail of the night’, however you know we like surprises so that was no issue for us. Not up for surprises? You can pay £17 and your ticket will include a glass of Champagne or £19 with a glass of Rose Champagne.

The doors usually open from 6.15pm on weekdays and 9.15pm on weekends but it would be worth double checking this with the new government restrictions on bars having to close by 10pm, as it is likely they will bring the weekend opening timings forward.

The social distancing procedures in place were really good, the whole place was working on a one way system with arrows, barriers and security showing you where to go and a 2 metre queuing system in place at the bar - however this may be changed to table service only.

If you want to really treat yourself you can pay between £65 and £75 each to reserve your very own table as well as a bottle of Rose Champagne or Premium Rose Champagne with a choice of sharing board including charcuterie, artisan cheese or vegetarian antipasti.

You can choose to spend the whole night at Sky Garden or just enjoy your drink and the view before leaving.

You can also book yourself a free ticket online and visit Sky Garden during the day and take in the views without the music. Click here for all options!
