It can be super fun to be a tourist in your home city from time to time and with news that the Queen is opening up Buckingham Palace gardens for the first time this summer, what better place to enjoy a picnic with our friends after not seeing them for so long!

Usually, each summer Buckingham Palace opens for tours inside but due to Covid restrictions, they are no longer happening so the outdoor visit is as close as we can get!
You can also see the State Rooms on a special guided tour but you can’t take pictures here like you can in the garden - and we need that ‘picnic like the Queen’ pic for the 'gram, don't we?

The gardens are due to open from 9th July through to 19th September with dates already selling fast, so be quick to grab the date you want to visit. You can pick a time you want to visit too and then stay as long as you like.
An adult ticket is £16.50 with discounted options available and under 5s go free.
