Hey Londoners,
Here I am writing about another awesome woman coming all the way from Brazil to London in search of financial stability and to take her own line of handmade bags to the City!
Her name is Flavia, born and raised in Brazil, where she graduated to be an architect in Rio de Janeiro. She found a job in an office in São Paulo where she met her future husband. After their wedding in Rio, Flavia found out she was pregnant.

They had a stable and comfortable life until they were faced with new challenges. These also happened to be at a tough time for Brazil with a political and economical crisis going on. Things started becoming really hard and the perspective of a job as an architect became very difficult to imagine. That's when Flavia and her friend came up with the idea of COMCORDA, an amazing line of handmade bags that she sells through her Instagram account.
The word COMCORDA means 'with rope', which is how all of their handbags are made.
Initially, they started making baskets and soon enough they started making bags too. They were very popular in Brazil, but even their success wasn't enough to sustain Flavia's family, so they decided to take the business to London.

One year and seven months later, she loves London and its many opportunities, she finds it good to improve her English and great for her children to grow up! In particular, she loves spending her time in the parks, going to the pub and walking down Camden, Notting Hill and Covent Garden.
After an initial moment of adjustment, she found the right materials to continue making her line of handbags and COMCORDA is now selling in the UK.
Check her out on Instagram @comcorda_art and support her business!
