London has now entered Tier 2 and an even stricter lockdown might soon follow. If you thought this was the end of your love life, think again!
Although you might want to invest in good outerwear, there's plenty of pretty, cosy outdoor seating areas in restaurants and pubs with strong heaters that won't even make you feel like you're outdoors!
Think places like Borough or Spitafields Market, Mercato Metropolitano, etc. They all qualify as 'outdoors', despite being covered and not completely out in the open, and they are great places to safely meet with different households. But would you want to go to a market for a first date? Probably not.
It is definitely not an easy year for anyone, let alone single people. In fact, Tier 2 has been called the 'sex ban' by The Guardian, because of its ban on household mixing.
However, the outdoor 'loophole' still allows you to meet your date for a nice, romantic dinner. So, cutting to the chase, what are the best spots for a first date in London that apply to the Tier 2 rules?

Casa and Plaza Pastor, King's Cross
Coal's Drop Yard in King's Cross offers several restaurants and bars with outdoor seating, but Casa and Plaza Pastor has nice cocktails and wines, delicious food and a lovely setting with fairy lights as well as large, warm heaters that will make you feel as indoor as you can be! Make sure to book for the 'Plaza Pastor' as that will ensure your table is outdoor.
Brother Marcus, Spitafields Market
Although located in the market, this cute bar gives off Insta-vibes with its lighting and plants surrounding the tables. It also offers several sharing platters, perfect for a date!

Circolo Popolare, Fitzrovia
Circolo Popolare is always a good idea. From its gorgeous interiors to the amazing Italian food, rest assured you will wow your date! Ask for seats in the terrace to comply with Tier 2 rules.
Hush, Mayfair
One of the prettiest courtyard dining you can find! A little bit more on the fancy side, this restaurant would surely grant you to first base... if only was allowed.
The Churchill Bar, Marylebone
This bar is well equipped for the cold weather as it offers alfresco tables all year round. Go for the pretty terrace and the delicious cocktails!
